New Features for Application for Practising Certificate for the Year Ending 31 March 2003

Since the implementation of the Practising Certificate E-filing System by the Supreme Court in 2000, each year, more than half the members of the profession have e-filed their applications for Practising Certificates, whether through their own law firms or through the IT centre at the Law Society.

This year, members have an additional mode of payment, via GIRO, as both the Supreme Court and the Law Society accept GIRO payment for both manual and
e-filed applications for Practising Certificates. Furthermore, the requisite documents for both modes of filing are available for downloading at the Law Society's website at www.lawsociety.org.sg.

As a round-the-clock service to members, detailed information on the application process, requirements and answers to 'Frequently Asked Questions' and downloadable forms, are all available on the Law Society's website under the sub-menu of 'PRACTISING CERTIFICATE'.

With all the information and documents available online, it is now more convenient for members to file their applications, be it manually or through electronic means.
