S.E.S.S.I.O.N
The first social event of the year organised by the Social and Welfare Committee, was held at Milieu on 6 June 2003 and was the first gathering organised for members in
post-SARS Singapore. Due to the looming spectre of SARS and the uncertain economic times, the turn-out for this event was not as we had hoped. However, for the 40-50 members and friends in attendance, it was the ideal casual
setting to interact with new contacts and catch up with old friends at the end of a long week at work. In between conversation, there were endless platters of finger food to stave off hunger and a free-flowing supply of beer,
whisky, brandy, bourbon, vodka, tequila and gin to fend off thirst. The service was top-notch and met the standards of the notoriously demanding and thirsty crowd, with not one parched throat or empty stomach remaining when they
left — some more steady than others. All in all, it was a night to relax and unwind and we will be organising another such event later this year, so keep your ears to the ground for the details. Till the next session.
