Project Generation X: Financial Planning Seminar

On 21 October 2004, a group of lawyers were introduced to the world of personal financial management by Alpha FinaOO Advisers Pte Ltd. The seminar was organised by the Young Lawyers Committee (‘YLC’) as part of its Project Generation X initiative and was open to all members of the Society.

Participants were first treated to a short video snippet by Robert Kiyosaki on the importance of understanding the concept of personal income and expense statements and balance sheets. The participants were then divided into discussion groups where each person was encouraged to analyse his/her own financial health.

All in all, it was an eye opening and interesting seminar, especially for those who wished to know how to manage their money better, learn how to calculate their net worth and plan for their financial future.
