Inter-Professional Games 2004



Overall champion of the Inter-Professional Games 2004, Institution of Engineers, Singapore

The Annual Inter-Professional Games (‘IPG’) were inaugurated in 1984. This year, the IPG was organised by the Law Society of Singapore.

 

Six organisations participated in the IPG:

 

•   ICPAS —   Institute of Certified Public Accountants               of Singapore;

•   IES       —   Institution of Engineers, Singapore;

• LSS       —   Law Society of Singapore;

•   SIA      —   Singapore Institute of Architects;

•   SISV    —   Singapore Institute of Surveyors and             Valuers; and

•   SMA    —   Singapore Medical Association.

     

The qualifying rounds were held over the months of August and September 2004, with a total of 10 games being played.

 

The closing ceremony cum prize presentation was held together with a buffet dinner on Saturday, 9 October 2004 at The Arches, Sentosa. The dinner was attended by more than 150 people, including Council members of the various professional organisations.

 

The results of the IPG were as follows :

 

IES                                                       —    12 points

ICPAS and SMA         —                    10 points

LSS and SISV              —                    8 points

SIA                               —                    2 points

 

This year’s overall winner was the Institution of Engineers, Singapore.

 

The IPG for 2005 would be organised by the Institution of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore (‘ICPAS’).
