Dinner and Dance 2005

The Society’s annual Dinner and Dance was held on 3 September 2005 at the Ritz Carlton ballroom. Over 400 members andT guests attended the gala event, which this year included celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the Society’s Criminal Legal Aid Scheme (‘CLAS’). The dinner, which was also a fund-raising event for CLAS, with the sale of gold and silver tables, raised a total sum of $78,901.14 for CLAS. The Society is grateful to all the supporters and donors for their contributions, which will enable CLAS to continue its work of giving criminal legal aid to the poor. It was a relaxed and enjoyable evening, as our members made their rounds of the tables, catching up with old friends, with some staying on after the dinner for drinks and more catching up, or simply to take to the dance floor.
