In December 2003, the Law Society launched its PrimeLaw (Practice Management Excellence) standard that prescribes a checklist that a law practice can have regard to, to achieve good practice management.

The standard does not impose any mandatory workflow processes or systems for a law practice but simply by reference to its checklists, provides a basic structure of practice management from business planning to financial management to case management.

The Law Society is proud to announce that eight law practices have committed to the Society to be ready for assessment for the Society’s PrimeLaw mark within two years. These practices who are our ‘PrimeLaw Pioneers’, can be assured of support from the Society and the PrimeLaw Committee to achieve the Mark.
