Leonard Loo’s (Leonard Loo & Co) and Bee Hua’s baby
boy, Raikkonen Loo Xu Tse, arrived on 24 May 2006 at a strapping 4.02kg and a
length of 50cm. Says Leonard, ‘After eight years of blissful marriage, we are
now such happy parents. We realise that our baby’s smiles and “goo goo” sounds
are a good form of therapy for stress and also help bind our marriage. We hope
to share our experience with other couples who want a baby but have to wait
longer for it. Patience and relaxation are important. Baby Raikkonen’s subtle
but persistent cries are always rewarded with breast milk, quite akin to a
lawyer leading his witness at cross-examination to his desired answers.’ As for
whether Raikkonen will follow in daddy’s footsteps, career-wise, only time will
tell, and Leonard and Bee Hua are content to ‘guide him along accordingly.’
