‘Piala Piala’ Bowling Tournament 2006
The ‘Piala Pala’ bowling tournament is an annual event and a total of 16 teams participated in the tournament which was held at Superbowl Marina South on Sunday, 26 November 2006.
This year’s competition was fiercely fought by the teams as was evident by the close scores and made special by the presence of our guest of honour Ms Malathi Das, Vice President of the Law Society, who gave away the prizes to the winners.
This year’s ‘Piala Pala’ Challenge Trophy went to the team from Legalworks Law Corporation with a new unprecedented winning score of 3193 pinfalls. In second and third places were the teams from Lee & Lee (with a total pinfall of 2940) and the Attorney-General’s Chambers with 2938 pinfalls.
Raymond Quek from Drew & Napier Team 2 bagged the first prize for the Men’s Individual event whilst Tan Ying Wee from the team ‘Here We Come’ won the first prize for the Ladies Individual event.
The prizes for high scores went to Teo Keng Siang for the Men’s High Game and Chan Siew Eng for the Ladies High Game.
